November 21

- NOVEMBER DISTRIBUTION DAYS – Our regular distribution days for this month have passed. On the 2nd Thursday, November 9, we served 40 families. We were also blessed to give out 500 pounds of potatoes on that day. On the 3rd Saturday, November 18, we served 65 families. On that Saturday, we also gave out 10 bushels of bananas, 5 bushels of apples, and 16 bushels of grapefruit. We even completely emptied a chest freezer that was full to the brim after giving out frozen food to all the families. As always, we serve more families throughout the month as well in emergency situations and if an individual has not received food from us before.

- THE GREAT GIVEAWAY – On October 28, Marathon partnered with Destiny Outreach Ministries, www.domtoday.com, in Tazewell, VA for “The Great Giveaway.” Marathon provided 492 blankets (41 boxes) for the giveaway. Destiny gave away a large amount of clothes, shoes, and winter coats, “sowing” these items into the lives of those in need in the name of Jesus Christ. The blankets were provided to Marathon by Tom & Linda Sparks of World Deliverance Ministry from Jacksonville, FL.
